Instead of awaiting Journal updates, ya'll may want to take a  look at my blog. I'm going to post more drawings there than on deviantArt, and will go into more depth for each drawing. After much discussion and learning some really awesome stuff in my Dinosaurs and Human Evolution class, I have refined my previous ideas, eliminated some, and developed new ones.   My first, an more important idea, which will absolutely used, no matter how different a direction I go with the project is that the skin of nearly all macroorganisms will be a symbiotic plant. The major family tree of land hexapods are descended from a jellyfish-like organism reinforced by the synthetic plant skin. In many cases, the plant skin operates just like the skin of a terrestrial mammal: it helps in respiration, cools the blood, etc. But the plant-skin h
